Will I be Stationed at the same location as my ait training?

Natasha H asked the question:

I am thinking about joining the Active Army and want to know where I will be stationed. I will (hopefully) a 69w (health care specialist). I was considering the guard at first. Is the army a better step for me? Can anyone give me a link for a map of all the bases in The U.S.

Thanks for all of your help.
i made a mistake i know its the 68w not 69w.

it’s actually a 68W…but your AIT will be at Fr. Sam Houston, TX. That doesn’t mean you will be stationed there. With you wanting to be a medic…you can be stationed ANYWHERE!!!
With the Guard, you know before you even go to MEPS where you will be doing you weekend drills. You also get to live your normal life, and the Guard will pay for your collge.

And the Guard and Reserves go to Iraq and Afghanistan too. Better to go to ROTC. Enjoy College, start as an officer. Get paid more, put up with less BS. Get treated a lot better. Medics can get some real $h!+ holes for stations. I know I served at a bunch of them. Better living conditions, better food, better shelter in the Navy.
