So do you really think some sort of government funded health care plan is the way to go ala Obama?
Big Cazzo asked the question:
So people have health insurance… now whos gonna treat em?

Many doctors plan to quit or cut back: survey
Couple of snippets…
The survey adds to building evidence that not enough internal medicine or family practice doctors are trained or practicing in the United States, although there are plenty of specialist physicians
Health care reform is near the top of the list of priorities for both Congress and president-elect Barack Obama, and doctor’s groups are lobbying for action to reduce their workload and hold the line on payments for treating Medicare, Medicaid and other patients with federal or state health insurance.
Actually yes, i DID read it, if you had any sort of reading COMPREHENSION, that was a blurb from a few, and not the general consensius.
nor does it mean it will decrease their workload.
try READING the whole thing yourselves.

No it will bankrupt all of us.
The doctors planning to quit are probably not worth a damn anyway.
With all of the years of study and determination it takes to become a doctor the good ones will stick it out in good or bad times. The good doctors care more about helping people rather than money.
apparently you didn’t actually READ the article.
If you had read it, it said that most doctors agree that universal health care plans that are being proposed by Obama and congress will help decrease the amount of paperwork they have to do by switchinig to an electronic system of data, thus giving them more time.
“Many of the health plans proposed by members of Congress, insurers and employers’s groups, as well as Obama’s, suggest that electronic medical records would go a long way to saving time and reducing costs.”
we over here have a public health care system and we never have problems with it
saves lot of people from going bankrupt.
it is also not reserved for to those who are and those who can but it is accessable to everyone be they, the richest man in the country or a poor homeless man in the street.
There are not enough doctors in the US so we should let people just die? I don’t understand what you are trying to say. If there are not enough doctors, then we need more, regardless of what kind of health care plan we have.
Even without the docs feeling the way they do, I still do not want government operated health care for ANYONE. The government has screwed up every program they have ever tried…and this would be one of the worst I am afraid…based on my experience with Medicare. It is hopeless, expensive and totally bogged down in unnecessary paperwork. Docs hate it also. If they do health care reform, I would much rather they at least let private companies handle it…and let them handle it in the same way that they handle their regular policies now. We can’t expect to have everything handed to us. Somewhere along the line, we need to start taking responsibility for ourselves.
We have it–it’s called Medicare. Because lots of people reach 65 not having had good health care they are a horrible burden on the system while they “catch up.” They still die early, as well. If we focus on preventive and child health care, we’d all be a lot better off and our health care dollars would be used more efficiently.
The issue of doctors is secondary but is a crisis.
No, I think paying the freight for all the uninsured is a much better idea. It seems to be working out so well. Or maybe you neocons have a better idea. Like ship everyone who doesn’t have insurance out of the country so you can keep it all to yourselves. That’s what you want anyway.
Yes absolutely. It is a moral crime a country as wealthy as we once were has people who cannot get even basic health care when they need it or prescriptions at a decent cost. Any care will be better than they have now and the rich will still be able to get the better Drs and specialists, just as they do now. Drs. accept Medicare now and that is socialized medicine, universal health care will be no different except people won’t have to decide between seeing a Dr and eating. We need it as soon as possible!
I already pay for the uninsured through increased premiums. I’d rather pay it to a system that provides real care instead of paying for emergency room visits for people who have no intention of paying the bill.
Get to know some basical knowledge of your confused field before taking any suggestion is a great idea. Here is great place to start off.
